Saratoga and Boston Experience
Welcome to Saratoga Springs. Known for the Saratoga Race Course, horses, mineral springs, and great restaurants and shopping, this exciting historical and cultural centre is located minutes from Albany and is a short drive from most Northeast locations.
This package will include 2 nights at the Adelphi Hotel, Saratoga, in July, in a Premier King Room including breakfast.
The Hotel has Neo-classical Italianate architecture, a grand staircase and glittering ballroom set the magical scene. Now infused with eclectic, modern touches and unmatched hospitality, The Adelphi Hotel is a 21st-century boutique retreat – for an exclusive city break or once-in-a-lifetime event.
As evening draws in, savour the finest modern or traditional cuisine at The Blue Hen or Salt & Char. Or get a sense of the Saratoga’s notorious wheeling and dealing past with a drink in Morrissey’s. Then relax in your elegant room, where the original features are subtly enhanced by a minimalist, modern aesthetic.
Car hire – picking up at New York Airport on arrival, and dropping off at Boston Airport on departure.
From here you will have a fun day at the race course in Saratoga, with Clubhouse or Grandstand seats.
Named one of the world’s greatest sporting venues by Sports Illustrated, the past comes alive in the historic grandstand every summer.
Saratoga Race Course is a thoroughbred horse racing track located on Union Avenue in Saratoga Springs, New York, United States. Opened in 1863, it is actually the fourth oldest racetrack in the US
The Saratoga meet originally lasted only four days. The meet has been lengthened gradually since that time; for many decades, the meet lasted four weeks and began in late July or early August. The meet today lasts a total of 40 racing days, with races held five days per week, and traditionally spans from mid-July through Labour Day in early September.
Then you will drive yourself to Boston and stay for 3 nights in the Four Seasons Hotel in an executive suite.
For all intents and purposes, Boston is the oldest city in America. And you can hardly walk a step over its cobblestone streets without running into some historic site. The Freedom Trail winds its way around the city center, connecting 16 historically significant sites, from the country’s oldest public park to a Revolutionary War battle site. These are the very places where history unfolded, especially the events leading to the American fight for independence from Britain. Other sites remember the city’s role in the abolition movement, its cultural contributions and more. In effect, Boston is one fantastic outdoor history museum.
Located alongside the Victorian brownstone homes of the Back Bay neighbourhood, Four Seasons Hotel Boston is the ideal base for exploring “America’s Walking City,” with top attractions just steps away. Follow the Freedom Trail, shop the renowned boutiques of Newbury Street or simply relax in your newly renovated room overlooking the historic Public Garden, Beacon Hill and the gilded dome of the State House.
Finally, included is a day playing Golf at the George Wright Golf Course.
George Wright Golf Course is a Donald Ross designed, public golf course in Hyde Park, Massachusetts that was opened in 1938 after receiving President Roosevelt’s Workers Progress Administration (WPA) funding to complete the construction.
In recent years, George Wright has again gained notoriety by being chosen as Golf Digest’s Best Municipal Course in Massachusetts and the 14th Best Municipal Golf Course in The U.S. by Golfweek in 2009.
